What is the plot of 'The Portable Door'?

Combining fantasy and adventure elements, 'The Portable Door' focuses on an intern, Paul Carpenter, who joins JW Wells & Co, a super secretive firm in London, and what happens thereafter.

The Jim Henson Company published the official synopsis which says,"The movie centers on Paul Carpenter (Gibson) and Sophie Pettingel (Wilde), lowly, put-upon interns who begin working at the mysterious London firm JW Wells & Co, and become increasingly aware that their employers are anything but conventional. Charismatic villains Humphrey Wells (Waltz), the CEO of the company, and middle manager Dennis Tanner (Neill) are disrupting the world of magic by bringing modern corporate strategy to ancient magical practices, and Paul and Sophie discover the true agenda of the vast corporation."

The plot seems to align with Tom Holt's quirkiness and cultural commentary. It would be interesting to see what Paul and Sophie discover about the enterprise they work for and how they handle Wells and Tanner. Till then, check out the official trailer below.
