What is Bella Thorne worth? How actress reinvented herself into one of the richest OnlyFans content creators
Bella Thorne, whose real name is Annabella Avery Thorne, is prominently known for playing a number of iconic characters like Margaux Darling in the series ‘Dirty Sexy Money’ (2007-2008), Ruthy Spivey in the drama series 'My Own Worst Enemy' (2009) and Disney’s Cece Jones for ‘Shake It Up’ (2010-2013).
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Thorne’s net worth goes up to $ 12 million in 2020 as the ‘Infamous’ actor ventured into multiple pursuits of commercial endorsements, released her own music, made a directorial debut with the film ‘Her & Him’ along with opening an OnlyFans account in August 2020.
OnlyFans Controversy
Was she the 'first' on OnlyFans?
Recently, Thorne’s comment regarding OnlyFans has sparked a sea of reactions on social media as the Internet slammed her for "chasing clout". Thorne, in a recent Instagram story, claimed that she took the first hit for being in OnlyFans and paved the way for others to follow.
Her Instagram story read, “Everyone jumping on OnlyFans but I took the hit for doing it firsttttt cool” followed by another story which says, “Legit everyone In my news feed following in my footsteps. But when I was getting heat, y’all were scared.”
Her opinion didn’t sit well with many who believe that she robbed sex workers of a platform who actually earn through it and need it more. A user shared her story with a caption, a reminder that Onlyfans has been a powerful source of income for many women and others. "Bella Thorne came up off acting and got rich that way first...then started one for clout. Andddd OF started implementing certain guidelines and giving people creators less money…"

According to a publication, Thorne made $2 million from her OnlyFans account within one week of joining the platform. Initially, for the subscription-only platform, she charged $20 dollars for accessing exclusive content on her feed. She also claimed that her joining the platform was for research on a film. She said, “It’s a feature we are researching as I’m living it currently.”
She added, “What are the ins and outs? What does a platform like this do to its users? What’s the connective material between your life and your life inside the world of OnlyFans? ... How can it change your life for the worse and the better? How far are you willing to go, and how far do you WANT to go? You can be me, or this talented girl from Montana, and OnlyFans could change your life — if you want it to, of course.”
Thorne also interacted with fans through polls to ask what they would like to see more on her OnlyFans account — tongue teasing, lingerie, booty, showering and twerking were some answers. Thorne also dropped her OnlyFans price to 10 dollars later to gain more subscribers as she posted through Instagram. Speaking of her intention, she said she wanted to “just be more personal with my fans,” sending them “good night and good morning personal messages” via audio recordings.
while we're on this topic, let's talk about why celebrities like bella thorne are allowed to promote their onlyfans on instagram and make sexually promiscuous posts, but sex workers who do the same thing get their accounts suspended or posts taken down? pic.twitter.com/0WBv6jIzqe

Thorne has been previously alleged of scamming her OnlyFans subscribers where she charged for $200 for posting nude pictures but the pictures sent were fully clothed. On another occasion, she reportedly capped fan tips at $100 and pay-per-view post charges at $50.
Followed by the social media slam, Thorne apologized in August, stating “I wanted to bring attention to the site, the more people on the site the more likely of a chance to normalize the stigmas, And in trying to do this I hurt you. I have risked my career a few times to remove the stigma behind sex work, porn and the natural hatred people spew…”
