FLEMING COUNTY, KENTUCKY: 'Barnwood Builders' star Johnny Jett's artistry and love for machinery have been entertaining fans for years. However, Jett's fans were recently left devastated after his death rumours swirled around the internet.
However, it was later revealed that the rumours were not true and Johnny was alive and still living a healthy life. Discovery show star's death hoax was fueled after a quick Google search brought up an obituary dedicated to a certain 'Johnny Jett'.
The speculations were further exasperated by the fact that Jett isn't very active on social media. He only maintained a Facebook account which was mostly run by his family members and used to promote his artwork.
However, the person only holds the same name as the 'Barnwood Builders' cast member but it was not him. The person hailed from Houston, Texas and passed away on May 7, 2022, at age 62.
Where is 'Barnwood Builders' star Johnny Jett now?
Johnny Jett is currently living in Kentucky with his wife and kids. The artist has become an integral cast of the Discovery show 'Barnwood Builders' which also includes, Mark Bowe, Sherman Thompson, Graham Ferguson, and Jim Rose.
He made his television debut with 'Barnwood Builders' in Season 1 and displayed his excellent craftsmanship and undeniable charm throughout Season 16.
Jett and his team travelled to remote parts of West Virginia and America, turning old barns and lock houses into modern, usable buildings. He is the oldest member of his team but his age couldn't stop him to outperformed all of them.
He skillfully collapsed rafters and tore metal off roofs like it was nothing.
Will Johnny Jett return to 'Barnwood Builders' Season 17?
'Barnwood Builders' Season 17 is around the corner and Johnny Jett is all set to return to the old barn-destructing show for another instalment. Johnny Jett is expected to return with his team.
However, Brian Buckner would not return for the new season. Meanwhile, in the Season 17 premiere episode titled, 'Bank Barn Retires', Jett along with his team members head to Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
Jett would save a classic bank bark which has been in a terrible condition. If the 'Barnwood Builders' team don't save the barn, it won't last another winter.
The team also tour an 18th-century fort. Meanwhile, Mark Bowe checks out a fully operational bank barn.
