DENVER, COLORADO: 'Married At First Sight' star Cameron Frazer took a hiatus from filming the Lifetime show and his marriage with Clare Kerr after developing a heart condition requiring surgery. Fans awaited details for weeks, and in 'MAFS' Season 17 Episode 18, Cameron met Brennan Shoykhet to discuss. He revealed experiencing atrial flutter, causing a rapid, irregular heartbeat, stating, "It's a bit of a weird situation because people of our age can like develop a thing called partial fibrillation but there's a rarer version called atrial flutter... so that's what I have been experiencing."
Cameron further explained, "It's like part of heart is beating three to four times for every single beat. So it literally feels like you're suffocating but in your heart." He continued, "So the chances of me mountain biking this year are zero." Cameron had been in and out of the hospital for the last three weeks, describing the condition as rare but controllable with medication after a procedure.
When Brennan inquired about Clare's support during the medical emergency, Cameron admitted she was there. However, he paused, struggling to breathe, saying, "It's just I can't talk for long periods of time." He admitted, "I was feeling quite a lot of emotional stress. Maybe it's the reason I'm struggling to breathe right now."

He continued, "And also every time we touch base, she wants to see oh how I've changed and how I've matured with my feelings towards her. But like it's not something that has been maturing or progressing for me." He added, "She's coming at things from the angle of.. well there wasn't maybe the attraction and that was something that I think we struggled with like early on."
Cameron further claimed, "I kind of had just a thin crumbling sand castle that I couldn't put back together and trying to put it back together was just causing me more pain." The Lifetime show star claimed that he would be with Clare if she wanted them to be together.
