LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Apple TV+ documentary 'Boom! Boom: The World vs Boris Becker', which had its Berlin debut last month, finally has a release date. The complete two-part documentary about disgraced tennis champion Boris Becker will be released on April 1.

“I’ve paid a heavy price for some of the things I did in my past. Today I’m a bit better for it. Hopefully a bit smarter. Maybe a bit more humble,” said Becker during the documentary's press conference in Berlin. The film is directed by Alex Gibney ('Enron') and produced by John Battsek ('Searching for Sugar Man'). The official synopsis reads, "The film will explore the life of Becker, who became a tennis sensation when he won the first of his six majors at the age of just 17 and went on to have a glittering career, including 49 major career titles and an Olympic Gold."

Becker has long been a mainstay of both German and UK tabloids due to his love life, which included having a child during a brief encounter with a waitress in a restaurant and subsequent fall from grace after receiving a prison sentence in the UK for concealing assets and loans during his bankruptcy. In February, not long after being released from a British prison, he attended a press conference for the movie in Berlin.
