Spoilers for 'Westworld' Season 3 Episode 8 — 'Crisis Theory'

'Westworld' Season 3 came to a close today, but not without leaving fans with a scene they've been waiting for for a very long time. Protagonist hosts Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and Maeve (Thandie Newtown) have been on parallel paths all through the series, but it's only recently that their paths actually crossed.

While the series seemed to have the two pitted against each other, in the final episode, both hosts finally get a moment to talk to each other about their motivations in a simulated reality shared by their robotic minds.

Fans, disappointed over the pair's conflict last episode, were ecstatic to see them connect here — even if it was in the moments before Dolores' death. "Am i going to cry with this Dolores/Maeve scene? Yes I am!" said a fan. "THE TWO QUEENS BEING ALLIES AS THEY SHOULD," said another.

"DOLORES AND MAEVE TEAM UP FINALLYYYYY ITS TAKEN 3 SEASONS LETS GOOOOOOO" exclaimed this fan. "'I choose to see the beauty' IM CRYING OVER HERE," said a viewer, quoting Dolores.

"Dolores really sacrificed herself for all of humanity even though it did nothing but torture her her whole life," said one viewer, with a crying gif attached to the tweet.

"The Maeve/Dolores scenes were great. Well choreographed. The eye roll Maeve gave Dolores on the bridge was amazing," observed this fan.

For some, the moment reminded them of another resonant film scene: "I felt a Return of the Jedi vibe when Maeve was looking at Dolores. When Darth Vader was looking at Luke being zapped by the Emperor. Please bring Dolores back," said this fan.

"I personally believe these are the most beautiful scenes my eyes ever laid eyes on," wrote a viewer. "The heart of the entire series was with Maeve and Dolores speaking near the end, and Bernard’s healing conversation with Lauren. It’s going to be a long wait for the next season," said a fan.

Even those fans who found the season finale underwhelming had good things to say about the scene. "I didn’t love the #Westworld finale, but goddamn, every scene with these two together was magic. Their fight scene was top notch and this scene of them together was fantastic," said this viewer.

This is the final episode of 'Westworld' Season 3.
