West Virginia man, 46, who raped underage relative over 10 times so that 'she can get pregnant' faces 400 years in prison
A West Virginia man was arrested recently on a number of incest and sexual assault counts for allegedly raping an underage relative for over 10 times to impregnate her.
Forty six-year-old Everett Whitt was arrested on Wednesday and taken into custody by the West Virginia State Police. The teenage victim who is said to be a relative of Whitt, during a forensic interview held in October, told the investigators that the father-of-two had raped her over ten times between January 2016 and October 2019.
According to Bluefield Daily Telegraph, the victim claimed that Whitt, who hailed from Cucumber, had told her that he wanted to impregnate her. The pedophile was booked into the Southern Regional Jail on 10 counts of incest and 10 counts of second-degree sexual assault.
DG Pierson from the West Virginia State Police Welch detachment told Bluefield Daily Telegram, "A forensic interview was conducted with a juvenile who said that Everett Whitt had been raping her. This occurred more than 10 times from January 2016 to October 2019. The victim said Everett told her the reason he does these things to her is so she can get pregnant.”
Whitt's being held at the Southern Regional Jail in Beaver. His bond is set at $75,000 cash-only, and if he is convicted of all 20 charges, he could be facing around 400 years in prison. Whitt's relationship with the teenage victim has not been revealed to protect her identity. It is not known if she ended up getting impregnated by him because of the abuse.
According to one of his Facebook pages that are associated with his name, it claims he is a relationship and studies criminal justice at Bluefield State College.
