'Welcome to Plathville': Ethan Plath unveils truth on Olivia Plath and Moriah Plath stolen music controversy

The conflict between Olivia and Moriah, who had been the closest friends for years, has created a schism between Ethan and the rest of his family

CAIRO, GEORGIA: Ethan Plath and Moriah Plath are now talking about the turmoil that followed when Moriah accused her brother's soon-to-be ex-wife, Olivia Plath, of stealing her music.

The two had avoided each other for most of 'Welcome to Plathville's fifth season. Moriah disclosed the cause of her rift with Olivia, her former closest friend.

Earlier in the season, Moriah abruptly left Ethan and Olivia's home after accusing her sister-in-law of stealing and deleting her songs from her Spotify account.

The conflict between Olivia and Moriah, who had been the closest friends for years, has created a schism between Ethan and the rest of his family.

In a TLC teaser clip, the brother and sister duo discuss what truly transpired between them.

"You talk about respectful, but you accuse Olivia of stealing from you," says Ethan in the video. "That's not respectful."

"I didn't know what happened," adds Moriah, who previously assisted Olivia with uploading and promoting her songs.

"All I knew was I had an account, and my music was not in there. And I thought for sure, like when we uploaded the music, it was in my account, and I had access to it," she further said.

"When I went to log into my account, it wasn't there. I freaked out, and I was like, 'I don't know how I'm going to get access to the music.' I asked her, and she left me on read, and that was when I was like, 'This isn't going to be good,'" Moriah concluded.

Ethan responded, "So then what were you two doing in the kitchen, like two days before we left, or the night before we left, where you were both at the counter with the laptop changing the password so you could access your stuff while we were gone?"

Moriah denies the claim, stating, "That never happened."

Ethan asserts, "You and Olivia were on the laptop at the counter, and Olivia said, 'This is the username and password,' and you just said, 'Thanks.'"

Moriah reiterates, "That never happened."

Later, speaking to the cameras, she states, "I do not remember anything like that, of Olivia giving me passwords to my account or anything. I remember the night before they left. I do not remember any of that."

Moriah added, "If Olivia had given me the password, I would have it somewhere. I can pretty much promise you that never happened."

Moriah accused Olivia of making everything about her, and as a result, their relationship deteriorated further.

At the beginning of Season 5 of 'Welcome to Plathville,' when Ethan and Olivia return home from a vacation in Europe, they find that Moriah has suddenly moved out.

Moriah disclosed the reason for her unannounced departure. Earlier, she, Olivia, Ethan, and Olivia's brother, Nathan Meggs, shared a house. Moriah assured producers that leaving was the "best" decision for her.

The drama on 'Welcome to Plathville' has gotten to Ethan.

Ethan and Olivia, having spent several months in Europe, returned feeling revitalized after a summer apart, aiming to rest and focus on their marriage in the Season 5 premiere.

Regrettably, upon their return home, they discovered that Moriah, Ethan's 21-year-old sister and Olivia's former closest friend, had moved out of their shared house in Tampa while they were away.

"I'm really disappointed in Moriah, disappointed in Micah for going along with it," Ethan expressed to Olivia. "'To say, 'You can't say X, Y, Z about my mom because I don't like it.' There are two sides to a coin: She may not like it, but it still doesn't negate the fact that it happened."

Ethan Plath was blindsided by Moriah Plath's sudden move

Ethan, who returned from Europe a week ahead of his wife, was taken aback upon arriving home and discovering that his sister had moved out. Moriah's belongings were absent, and she had only left behind a letter as an explanation.

"I am very frustrated and genuinely surprised," he confessed in an interview. "Moriah had told me before we left for Europe that she was gonna stay a couple weeks after I got back. But then something happens that she doesn’t like, packs up all her stuff, that does feel a little bit theatrical if you will."
