'Welcome To Plathville': Moriah is exposed to California's LGBTQ culture as she admits she views things differently than her parents

Moriah is trying to enjoy her life as she takes a trip to California with Olivia and during this trip, she is educated on a lot of things.

Kim and Barry Plath were worried about Moriah going to California along with Olivia as they thought it would be a different culture and lifestyle that she would be introduced to.  Moriah has spent her entire life until now on her farmland and since the Plath children were always homeschooled, Moriah did not have a chance to experience things around her.

Luckily for her, Olivia had different things planned for their trip to California. After Moriah was allowed to go on their trip, Olivia decided that she would keep some days apart to show Moriah a different side of the world. She then booked them a tour which would help them see the different sides of California. One of the things that were new for Moriah was the open gay culture that existed in the city. The tour guide spoke about the first gay bar that did not have any black mirror on it openly and recalled how it gave people the confidence to express their love for someone openly.

He also spoke about the LGBTQ flag and Moriah confessed that she did not know what LGBTQ stood over. At the same time, she admitted that unlike her parents, she is open to different views that exist in the world. Moriah confessed that she knew her parents were worried that she would be introduced to things like this but added that people have the freedom of having a different opinion and for her, she knew she differed from her parents.

Moriah accepted that everyone had the right to live the way they wanted and this included the people they fell in love with. Fans also fell in love with Moriah for her thoughts and appreciated her for not following the footsteps of her family blindly. "Moriah is the best I feel so badly for her that her parents put all of their regrets, grief, and trauma on these kids," read one comment.

Another added, " Oh she has some sense. She knows she has a right to her mind. She best not tell her parents." While Moriah was happy to experience new things, it made it harder for her to head back home but how long will she keep escaping like this?

'Welcome To Plathville' airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm on TLC.
