WASHINGTON, DC: A fake video clipping of a soldier standing in front of President Joe Biden and praying for the return of Donald Trump has gone viral on the Internet.

The 13-second clip shows a uniformed defense personnel standing in front of a stage, with the President and the First Lady behind him, reading out from a piece of paper.

"So anyway, please get rid of Joe Biden and bring back the real President, Donald J. Trump. Amen," he says, after which Biden seals it with the sign of the cross.

Music floats in and Jill Biden is seen walking off the stage along with another lady, with the President left standing on the stage by himself.

Social media users have taken the video in good humor, while some did wonder if there was a chance for it to be real.

Joe Biden trailing Donald Trump in 5 swing states

According to 'The New York Times', Trump is leading against the incumbent in five of the six most important battleground states, just one year ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

Polls conducted by the publication and Siena College show Biden losing to Trump by margins of 4-10 percentage points among registered voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. Biden leads by a margin of 2 percentage points only in Wisconsin.

Trump has repeatedly attacked Biden for his advanced age during campaigns. At 80, he is the oldest sitting president in the history of the United States. However, 77-year-old Trump is not far behind on that point.

Internet reacts to fake clip

Despite being aware that the clip is not real, social media users have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to comment on it, some hoping it to be real, as the following tweets demonstrate.

"Might be fake but if it’s real it’s great," posted a user.

"If it is real he will be the most famous man on the planet," quipped another.

"Biden seals it after," chided a third.

"So fake. This world is ridiculous. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad," wrote another.

"I can’t imagine that it’s real. But that would be so classic," said fifth user.
