The official synopsis of HBO's 'Watchmen' Episode 7 titled 'An Almost Religious Awe' reads: "Under Lady Trieu's (Hong Chau) care, Angela (Regina King) undergoes an unconventional treatment while Agent Blake (Jean Smart) chases down a lead. Elsewhere, The Smartest Man in The World (Jeremy Irons) delivers a stunning defense
of his past actions."

The promo of this episode gives us a clue as to what Lady Trieu's unconventional treatment for Angela might be. In the video, we see Angela getting injected with an unknown substance by Lady Trieu. Then we see scenes of Angela as a kid back in Saigon, Vietnam.

These scenes feature Angela speaking to June, her grandmother, who asks her, "Tell me something about yourself, Angela." To this, the little Angela responds, "I am going to be a police officer," and we see a couple smiling and a badge that says Saigon Police Officer.

This makes it clear the upcoming episode will take us back to Angela's past, which in turn hints at the possibility of Angela being treated with Nostalgia which contains her own memories. Is this a method to counteract Angela overdosing on her grandfather Will Reeves' (Louis Gossett Jr.) memory?

Angela is unclear about the treatment she is getting. We hear Lady Trieu explain, "I have a secret plan to save humanity and it starts in Oklahoma." Then Angela asks Lady Trieu, "What does this have to do with my treatment?" She doesn't get an answer, instead, she is injected with something through a device on her hand that looks like a handcuff.

Once she is injected, the effect is quite similar to how she looked while she was on Nostalgia in the previous episode. Which is one of the main reasons why it's highly likely that Nostalgia is being used as a treatment.

The upcoming episode, however, may not really reveal the secret that Angela and her husband Calvin Abar (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) seem to be hiding. In the past, we had heard the two of them discuss an accident that occurred in Vietnam, however, there was no further mention of the same.

While the promo of the upcoming episode sees Angela in Vietnam, the secret that Angela and Cal have kept will be revealed in episode 8 according to the official episode synopsis that was released by HBO. The synopsis for episode 8 titled, 'A God Walks Into Abar', reads, "Angela's mysterious past in Vietnam is at last revealed."

'Watchmen' Season 1 Episode 7 'An Almost Religous Awe' will air exclusively on HBO December 1.
