Washington Post slammed for tweeting on never having to 'think about Trump again' as he tests Covid-19 positive
President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump tested positive for Covid-19. This was announced by POTUS early on Friday, October 2, morning. Soon after the news broke, Washington Post posted a controversial tweet regarding the president but soon deleted the tweet.
"Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!" Trump tweeted.

Soon, Washington Post wrote on its Twitter handle: "Imagine what it will be like to never have to think about Trump again." In no time, this became a hot topic of discussion as one internet user shared a screenshot of the now deleted tweet and wrote, "Less than an hour after news broke of Trump’s coronavirus diagnosis, the Washington Post tweeted, 'Imagine what it will be like to never have to think about Trump again.'"

Soon people started reacting to this tweet, as one internet user wrote, "I can assure you that’s about 59 minutes 50 seconds longer than we erupted at joy in my household, screaming with laughter and delight, at that exact prospect." And some people started slamming Jeff Bezos, the owner of the publication, as one netizen wrote, "Jeff Bezos should be ashamed. Editorial independence is one thing, but when you own something like that it behaves in such a disgusting way, you have an obligation as a decent person to interject. Jeff Bezos is clearly not a decent person."

One curious user asked, "Did....did @washingtonpost just delete their article post, 'Imagine what it will be like to never have to think about Trump again?' I hope somebody took a screenshot of their vicious idiocy. #COVID19 #auspol." And one Internet user slammed the publication saying, "'I can’t wait to never think about Trump again' from the organization that has made bashing him and spinning lies about him their entire identity."
