MASSAPEQUA PARK, NEW YORK: Rex Heuermann, Gilgo Beach serial murders suspect, was captured on Google Street View images in NYC. The chilling footage has led many to believe that she could have been his potential victim. The picture is taken back in June 2022 and the identity of the woman cannot be established yet.

According to court documents, Heuermann is booked on three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of second-degree murder in connection with the deaths of Melissa Barthelemy, Amber Lynn Costello, and Megan Waterman. He also remains a suspect in Maureen Brainard-Barnes’ murder, as the investigation enters into a different phase.

Was Rex Heuermann talking to his next target?

Rex Heuermann, a 59-year-old architect from Manhattan, has been arrested for the serial murders of young women which troubled the investigators for almost a decade. The first arrest in the murders was explained by the District Attorney, Ray Tierney, during a press conference on July 14. “He was compulsively searching pictures of the victims, but not only pictures of the victims, pictures of their relatives, their sisters, their children, and he was trying to locate those individuals.”

The photo is taken on East 36th Street which is quite near Heuermann’s Midtown Manhattan office. As per reports, the image is just months before the police began tracking the potential suspect of the infamous ‘Gilgo Four’ murder case. He was taken into custody on Thursday night, July 13 by the investigators while returning home from work, reports New York Post.

Tierney added, “In 14 months, he had over 200 searches about the Gilgo investigation. Not only was he looking at investigative insight, he was trying to figure out how the task force was using cell phones to try to figure out what’s happened. What are the developments about the task force.”

‘Yeah, that’s a serial killer that was never caught in my hometown...'

Designer Dominique Vidal, who was once in a networking group with Heuermann, said he asked if she knew anything about the Gilgo case during an event at a Manhattan bar. “I’m like, ‘Yeah, of course I know,’ ” she told him back then. “And he goes on to tell me, ‘Yeah, that’s a serial killer that was never caught in my hometown, my neighborhood where I live.’” “Anybody could be a serial killer,” she responded, to which Heuermann laughed.
