CORNELIUS, NORTH CAROLINA: The North Carolina Police Department recently announced that the parents of missing 11-year-old, Madalina Cojocari, were detained on Saturday, December 17, for neglecting to report the girl as missing. While Cojocari's mother Diana and stepfather Christopher Palmiter were arrested, the case has already grabbed web sleuths' attention as they have started floating their own unproven theories about it.
News Nation revealed that Palmiter drove to Michigan, a day after Cojocari's disappearance on November 23, after having an argument with Diana. Now, a Twitter user claimed that the 11-year-old may have been with him at that time.

The person wrote, "Who drives 12-13 hrs to get "some items" during thanksgiving day? Make it make sense. I'm wondering if Diana has an alibi. Did she went with him? Did they went on the trip together & only the 2 of them came back? I have so many questions." This is an unproven and arbitrary theory and authorities have not announced in this respect yet.

Earlier, Cojocari's school administrators attempted to contact Diana several times regarding the child's absence and requested a meeting with the mother and child together.
The investigation was launched only after Diana arrived at Bailey Middle School on Thursday, December 15, for the meeting without Cojocari and said she was missing. The school counselor then reportedly called the police and urged her to submit a missing person report for her daughter.
Cojocari is 4ft 10in tall, weighs about 90 pounds and has brown eyes and brown hair, according to police. The 11-year-old was wearing pants, pink, purple, and white Adidas shoes, a white t-shirt and a jacket when she was last seen. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call the Cornelius Police Department at (704) 892-7773, as reported by MEAWW.
