'Was it Love' Episode 13 Preview: Promo shows Ryu Jin helping Ha-nee come to terms with Dae-o being her father
After Dae-o (Son Ho-jun) announces that he is Ha-nee's father in 'Was it Love' Episode 13, we did not see much of what Ha-nee had to say. We only saw that she was shocked but in the promo, she hears from her mother that Dae-o was not lying and that he is her father. Ha-nee races out and she even yells at her mother in the heat of the moment. From this, it is clear that she won't be able to accept Dae-o, and she needs a bit of a nudge and that she receives from an unexpected individual.
Ryu Jin was the one to singlehandedly keep Dae-o and Ae-jeong (Song Ji-hyo) apart by using the growing tension in their relationship. He deleted all the messages and calls that Ae-jeong had left for Dae-o and thereby erased a chance for Dae-o to learn the truth about his daughter. So, it seems like it is time for him to pay up for his sins because we see Ryu Jin take Ha-nee to the university that Ae-jeong, Dae-o and he used to attend together.
He introduces her to the university and tells her how much Dae-o and Ae-jeong used to love each other and Ha-nee seems surprised. Of course, as a 14-year-old who has been traumatized because of not having a father, or more accurately, not knowing who her father was, Ha-nee is suspicious of anyone who claims to be one. So when Ryu Jin tries to expand on Dae-o and Ae-jeong's relationship, it would be interesting to see how she would react to what Ryu Jin had done in the past.
There is also a scene of Ha-nee asking her mother if she still likes Dae-o and we wonder if Ae-jeong would really consider starting afresh with her ex-boyfriend or if she would prefer to leave it all in the past. Of course, the refreshing course of action would be for Dae-o to begin to have a better relationship with his daughter while a cordial one with Ae-jeong would suffice. But then, we also saw see Dae-o tell Ae-jeong that he will wait for her to accept him, wait for her to accept his help in bringing up Ha-nee and he will do everything he can for both Ae-jeong and his daughter.
However, before Ae-jeong can decide on either, danger knocks at her doorstep as it is now time for the mystery behind Pa-do to be revealed. Who is he and what is the story behind the woman who looks like Ae-jeong's doppelganger? We see Dong-chan learn about his mother and the fact that Pa-do is not really his father and he leaves his house to go meet Ha-nee and somehow, Ae-jeong along with two kids seems surrounded by the thugs that Pa-do had so far protected Dong-chan and Ae-jeong from.
New episodes of 'Was it Love?' will air on JTBC at 9.30 pm on Wednesdays and Thursday and will be available to stream on Netflix.
