GLENDALE, ARIZONA: Alicia Navarro, who had been missing since September 15, 2019, recently walked into a Havre police station, prompting authorities in Glendale to examine four individuals who might be linked to the disappearance. In a press statement, the Glendale Police Department verified the interviews and stated that they traveled to Havre, Montana, responding to Alicia presenting herself at their police station. While in Montana, investigators searched a home and conducted four interviews after obtaining a search warrant.

The police stated that "it's still an active investigation," adding that none of the people had been detained or arrested, and urged the public to give them more time as they "peel away the layers of the last four years." They asked for Alicia and her family's privacy, claiming that "this has been quite the ordeal for both." At the age of 14, Alicia vanished from Glendale, Arizona, as per reports. After she went missing in 2019, Jessica Nunoz, Alicia's mother, discovered a note that said, "I ran away. I will be back, I swear. I'm sorry." Her condition was characterized as "healthy and happy" yet "overwhelmed," when Alicia inexplicably decided to show up at the police station.

Alicia Navarro has allegedly been held captive for the past four years

Currently, there is a lot of conjecture surrounding Alicia's disappearance. Her mother, who described Alicia as having high-functioning autism, claims that she had been held captive for the past four years and was already at risk of being kidnapped during the disappearance. Authorities conducted a video call interview with Alicia once she appeared at the police station, the footage of which was made available to the public. When an officer asked, "Did anybody hurt you while you were away?" Alicia responded, "No, no one hurt me," and then mumbled a little as she frantically tried to find the right words. Alicia seemed distressed during the rest of the interview, even though the police assured her that their purpose was to keep her safe. A Glendale police spokesman, Joe Santiago, stated that the force is "continuing to investigate her whereabouts for the last four years" and emphasized that the probe is "far from over," as reported by Mirror.

'We are only (beginning) to put together the puzzle'

During a press conference, Lieutenant Scott Waite, who is leading the investigation, "We are only (beginning) to put together the puzzle that is her disappearance and her returning. I would only ask for patience," continuing, "We can only imagine what she's going through, as well as her family. This is probably only the beginning of where this investigation will go." Interestingly, some believe that Alicia left her mother's home on her own initiative, but authorities are yet to comment on this theory and have rather stated, "She is not in any kind of trouble. She is not facing any kind of charges."
