A warrior is no greater than what he conquers... With one of the best season finales, ‘Warrior’ has conquered our hearts, and now we can only wait for the third season. The number one question on all minds is: Will there be ‘Warrior’ Season 3? With a punch and a kick, the Season 2 Finale will end with a huge cliffhanger and one too many loose ends.

What's more, a petition on Change.Org is grabbing quite a lot of attention for the Season 3 renewal. Did you know that Koji himself shared the petition on Instagram back in January? The caption read: “Please think about signing the petition. This is such a fantastic show executive produced by Shannon Lee, the daughter of the great Bruce Lee. One of the only Asian led shows on television.”

Sadly, HBO hasn't given a green light to the new season. But, we have some insight after an exclusive conversation with Dianne Doan, who plays Mai Ling on the show. Talking to MEAWW, the 30-year-old actress — who got her first big break with her stellar performance as Mulan's daughter, Lonnie, in Kenny Ortega's ‘Descendants’ — spilled the beans on whether there are talks for a new season.

Cashing on the “never say never” mantra, Doan said, “I believe HBO or Cinemax has announced that after all of season two is aired, our show will be made available on the HBO streaming services — HBO Max. After that, we don't really know what's in store for ‘Warrior’. But I will say, with confidence, that we would love to have season three. We'd love to go back. There are a lot of cliffhangers and a lot of questions at the end of season two. So at this point, we don't know either... But I'll say, never say never.”

Hoping that the series materializes into another season, Doan said, “I hope there is a ‘Warrior’ 3, especially because there will be a lot of cliffhangers and I'm sure fans would really love to see what actually happens in the next season. This season, a lot of new characters have been introduced. So I think every single actor and character deserves to see a proper end to the story.”

Talking about her experience with the cast, Doan said, “I am in love with the cast. And this is honestly, 100% true. We are so close. We really bonded well. All of us are from all over the world and it's pretty amazing that they were able to find this really worldly cast. We've got people from the UK, a bunch from the States, Olivia [Cheng] and I from Canada. We're scattered all over the world, but coming together and working in Cape Town in South Africa was a great experience.”

“I think if we ended up filming this in LA, would we be that close? Because some of us would be home. My fiancé can't believe that after a 12 hour day of shooting, we still manage to go out for dinner together, or hang out. I have a very special bond with Andrew Koji, who I think of as my brother. We very much keep in touch. Olivia, who plays Ah Toy, is very close to me, especially because there were so few women on the cast. I really built a great bond with her. And Joe Taslim, because we spent the most time together on set. I'm very close with Kieran Bew too... I can't tell who I'm the closest with because I have great bonds with all of them. ”

When asked what is her dream role, she said, “To be honest, when I got ‘Warrior’, that was a big dream of mine. It was a bonus that it was a period drama. But moving forward, there's so much that I want to do. I would love to go into comedy, whether it's a dark comedy indie film or a network comedy.”

‘Warrior’ premiered on October 2, 2020, with Season 2 and the last two episodes will air on Cinemax on Fridays from 10 pm ET to 11 pm ET. Catch ‘Enter The Dragon’ on November 27, 2020, and the season finale ‘Man On The Wall’ on December 4, 2020.
