A ‘Warrior’ is one who is ready to defend, ready to fight for those he serves. A warrior of virtue, a knight of conscience... He is who we all wish to be. Episode 7 ‘If You Wait By The River Long Enough’ gives rise to one such warrior after a bloodthirsty fight between Mayor Samuel Blake (Christian McKay) and his wife Penelope Blake (Joanna Vanderham). But will the warrior live to see another day?

The argument begins when Samuel finds out about Penny's deal with Merriweather (André Jacobs). “I've been living on a knife's edge for the past six months and all you care about is a company that should have died with your father,” he tells her. Drunk and boiling with rage, he attacks her and their scuffle turns into a major fight with him trying to choke the breath out of her lungs. Penny's sister Sophie Mercer (Céline Buckens) tries to protect her but all their efforts go in vain as Samuel is too powerful for the two of them.

Right at the moment when he is about to squeeze the life out of her, Penny's trusted manservant Jacob (Kenneth Fok) enters the scene and slides a sword into his neck. Blood splatters all across the floor and Samuel lies there — frozen, lifeless. If Samuel is dead, who will take his place? Is it finally Walter Buckley's (Langley Kirkwood) time to step into his shoes and steal the spotlight? For a long time, Buckley was trying to play mind games while secretly working with Mai Ling (Dianne Doan).

In ‘Chewed Up, Spit Out and Stepped On’, we found out why Buckley was so intent on a full-blown Tong war breaking out in Chinatown. His agenda is to help Senator Robert Crestwood (Patrick Baladi)… a man who wants to be President and has promised to take Buckley with him on that ride. Will Buckley's intentions bear fruit and to what extent will he go to fulfill his wishes? And can Dylan Leary (Dean Jagger) — who started a love affair with Sophie — stop that from happening or will he merely follow his advice?

In a 35-second teaser for the next episode ‘All Enemies, Foreign and Domestic’, we see Buckley's stick as he shakes hands and is told, “Congratulations, Mr. Mayor! The city is yours.” Meanwhile, Penny faces a set of questions after her husband's murder. When she is asked, “Did you kill your husband,” she replies, “It all happened so quickly.” They draw the conclusion: “The Chinaman killed the Mayor. We take that sort of thing personally.” Is Jacob the scapegoat for all the chaos that might strike Chinatown?

The scene leads to a huge riot as San Francisco declares, “Chinatown is closed. My men will not stop tearing this place apart.” Towards the end, we see Ah Toy and Nellie Davenport being attacked by two men. And the final scene shows Jacob in front of Chao. “Please help me...” he begs him. A lot ensues over the course of the one-hour drama and we bet you wouldn't want to miss that out.

Now, if you are wondering if the city will be in control of Buckley completely, here's a big spoiler. Actor Langley Kirkwood himself tweeted, “One advantage of having a disability is that people constantly underestimate you.” His response was to a tweet: “Cannot wait to find out!! Could Buckley finally be a step behind?? Ooh @langleykirkwood this is gonna get good!”

Excited fans were quick to make some huge predictions. “Buckley as mayor. Leary following his advice. #WarriorMAX,” one tweet read and another said, “Seriously though the main chest player on this show and the one 2 watch is Walter Buckley@langleykirkwood he got the Mayor thinking he's on his side. He got Mai Ling thinking he's on her side. He got Dan & the Irish thinking he's with them. He's really on his side #WarriorMAX.”
