Want to see the world through Tyre Nichols' eyes? Check out his stunning photographs
MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE: On Thursday, January 26, five Memphis police officers were suspended and arrested in connection with the alleged murder of Tyre Nichols, 29. Five officers assaulted Nichols inhumanely and left him unattended for over 30 minutes before paramedics arrived. The claimed event occurred on January 7, after Nichols was on his way home from taking pictures of the sky when he was stopped at a traffic stop for alleged careless driving, which quickly turned into a terrifying nightmare.
He was only a few minutes away from his mother and stepfather's home when he was viciously attacked by five Memphis police officers. Nichols died three days later in a hospital, and the policemen were charged with second-degree murder and additional charges. As the fury over the aspiring photographer’s death grows all over the United States, Tyre’s website where he detailed his ‘vision’ came to light.

The about section of the photography website reads, “My name is Tyre D. Nichols. I am an aspiring photographer. Well, I mostly do this stuff for fun but I enjoy it very much. Photography helps me look at the world in a more creative way. It expresses me in ways I cannot write down for people. I take different types of photography, anywhere from action sports to rural photos, to bodies of water, and my favorite.. landscape photography.”
“My vision is to bring my viewers deep into what I am seeing through my eye and out through my lens. People have a story to tell why not capture it instead of doing the norm and writing it down or speaking it? I hope to one day let people see what I see and to hopefully admire my work based on the quality and ideals of my work,” the section remarks. On the website, Nichols posted several of his stunning photographs mostly capturing the beautiful sunset at different locations in Memphis.
