London, England (Release): If you want to live a life of luxury like the Cattons in 'Saltburn', their estate will set you back $54 million. Real estate experts Agent Advice gave a valuation of the Drayton Estate, a 200-acre site where Emerald Fennell’s 'Saltburn' was filmed. ONS property value data, a geocode system, and a land value estimator were used to create a total estimate for the entire estate. The Drayton Estate was valued at a whopping $54 million. The central piece of the Stopford Stackville family’s land, Drayton House, was the main setting for Fennell’s popular thriller 'Saltburn'. A 127-room Grade I listed country house, Drayton House is a luxurious manor with over 7,000 sq m floor space.  Whether you want to relax in several drawing rooms, browse the library, or practice your faith in the chapel, Drayton House offers the height of luxury around every single corner. An estimate of just the Drayton House building based on ONS value data saw it valued at around $21.8 million, the single most valuable plot of the Drayton Estate.

Along with its grand hallways and spiraling staircases, Drayton House is fronted by a beautiful rectangular courtyard and lavish gardens. However, the garden maze, which serves as a major setting for one of Saltburn’s most tense encounters, cannot be found on Drayton’s grounds. The filmmaking team instead crafted this memorable sequence through a mixture of sets and CGI.

Chris Heller, Co-founder of Agent Advice commented on the valuation: “'Saltburn' has been the most talked-about film of the last few months, with fans showing a particular interest in the Catton’s titular estate, Saltburn. This valuation sheds some light on the volume of wealth displayed in the film, putting an even greater emphasis on the absurdity of wealth Emerald Fennell so avidly outlines in her film.

“While the beautiful 14th-century country house may be out of most people’s price range, those who dream of living in the historic medieval mansion can fantasize about evenings spent lounging at the pond or in the gardens.”
