Walmart slammed for its 'Ugly Christmas sweaters' showing Santa doing cocaine and indulging in BDSM activities

Walmart pulled the sweaters from its website following the backlash, with a spokesperson for the retailer stating that they were put on sale by a third-party seller and insisting that they "do not represent Walmart's values."

Walmart is facing backlash after a series of sweaters featured on its section 'Ugly Christmas sweaters' on its website in Canada went a little too far and showed Santa Claus doing illegal drugs, engaging in sexually explicit activities, and posing in sexually suggestive positions.

The retailer first caught flak after a Twitter user flagged a blue, knit sweater where a smiling, bug-eyed Santa is holding what appears to be a straw and sitting behind three powdery lines spread out on a table in front of him. The text on the sweater reads 'Let it snow.'

In a description provided with the item, there were further references to cocaine, with it reading that "we all know how snow works" and how "it's white, powdery, and the best snow comes straight from South America."

"That's bad news for jolly old St. Nick, who lives far away in the North Pole," it continued. "That's why Santa really likes to savor the moment when he gets his hands on some quality, grade A, Colombian snow. He packs it in perfect lines on his coffee table and then takes a big whiff to smell the high-quality aroma of snow."

It also states that the 'snow' is "exactly what he needs to get inspired for Christmas eve" and that the sweater "captures that moment when Santa is finally ready to enjoy that sweet, imported snow."

The sweater was made by clothing company FUN Wear.

That wasn't the only suggestive sweater available on sale in the 'Ugly Christmas sweater' section either, according to Global News. Another one showed St. Nick with his pants down and standing in front of a fire, with the caption reading, "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire."

A third featured an upside-down snowman, with its carrot nose and jingle bells placed in a way to represent genitals, while a fourth, called 'Santa Probe Ugly Christmas Sweater,' showed Santa lying on a table with his pants down and an alien holding a 'probing' device.

There was even one depicting BDSM, with a provocatively-dressed woman holding a whip over Santa as he lay bent over with his pants down and a gag in his mouth. The caption read, "Santa has been naughty."

Walmart pulled the sweaters from its website following the backlash, with a spokesperson for the retailer stating that they were put on sale by a third-party seller and insisting that they "do not represent Walmart's values."
