Season 10 of 'The Walking Dead' has been a bit of a slow burner, but we have an inkling of where the show might be headed. The mid-season finale aired on February 23, which had everything that viewers expect from TWD, death and some steamy sex thrown in.

In the 10 years that the show has been on air, fans agree on one thing — the two best antagonists are Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Alpha. And there's a very strange relationship brewing between them — smarmy charisma meets a ruthless murderer. You know which is which.

In Season 10, Negan decided to join the Whisperers, and they're not entirely sure whether they can trust him or not. Beta (Ryan Hurst) believes him to be weak and someone who cannot be trusted.

However, Alpha (Samantha Morton) seems to trust Negan. Perhaps it's her attraction, either way, she's more accepting of him. She instructs Beta to put him through numerous tests so that he can prove his loyalty.

Negan passes all the tests and kneels to the Whisperers.  In the latest episode 'Squeeze', Alpha has her misgivings, but that doesn't stop her from getting close to Negan resulting in a passionate exchange between the two. The poor guy thinks she's about to kill him after she makes him strip.

In the comics, Negan's decision to join the Whisperers is part of his redemption arc. During a conversation with Alpha, he slits her throat and brings back her decapitated head as a trophy to Rick and Andria, as a part of a bargain to be released from the Alexandria jail.

While the show will not necessarily keep to the comic book storyline, there are already signs that Negan is slowly redeeming himself. He almost sacrificed his life to rescue Judith Grimes ( Cailey Fleming) in the midst of a dangerous blizzard.

Apart from this, Alpha is already on Carol's hit-list, so it remains to be seen who will kill her first. Alpha did kill Carol's son Henry brutally, by beheading him at the Kingdom's Fair and Carol did say, "B*tch has to die...." at the beginning of the season.

So, who will be the one to kill Alpha?

'The Walking Dead' airs on AMC at 9 pm on Sundays.
