Man allegedly fathered 6 children with his own daughter, groomed his kids to perform sex acts by 'brainwashing them'
A Welsh man is facing trial for 36 counts of rape after he was accused of fathering "at least" six children with his daughter and systematically raping and sexually abusing two of his children.
The man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of his children, also allegedly raped one of the children his daughter gave birth to and is said to have groomed his children into performing sexual acts by "brainwashing" them and creating a "false world", according to Wales Online.
Speaking during his trial at the Swansea Crown Court, prosecutor John Hipkin told the jury that the man "systematically controlled, groomed, and brainwashed" his victims "so their will was completely over-ridden by him".
He said the defendant used his control over his daughters for sexual gratification and "did what he wanted with them."
Hipkin revealed that there were even elements of "witchcraft and mysticism" to the control he asserted which included creating a "false mystic" who was in communication with his daughters and told them to sleep with him.
He said that the defendant not only raped them himself but also arranged for other men to rape them as well.
"He created a false world touched by witchcraft and mysticism," Hipkin said. "He would use a mystic to get them to do sexual acts with him by sending email messages to them. That control over them allowed him to gain sexual satisfaction."
He told the jury that, over the course of the trial, they would hear details of DNA evidence which proved that the defendant had fathered "at least six" children with one of his daughters, who was under 16 when she first became pregnant by her father.
"Their [the victims] will has been over-ridden and any apparent consent is not real consent but mere acquiescence to the false world he created," he said.
The man has pleaded not guilty to all 36 counts of rape brought against him, including one of procuring rape, and one count of assault by penetration. His trial is expected to last three weeks.
