'Wanted Dead or Alive': Russian investor Alex Konanykhin places $1M bounty on Putin's head
A Russian businessman and investor based in the United States announced that he will offer a reward of a whopping $1 million if President Vladimir Putin is arrested. This investor has placed a bounty on Russian President Putin.
Alex Konanykhin is the investor who wants Putin dead or alive. On Tuesday, March 1, he shared a Facebook post and called on the Russian military officers. His post read, "I promise to pay $1,000,000 to the officer(s) who, complying with their constitutional duty, arrest(s) Putin as a war criminal under Russian and international laws."

He explained further, "Facebook banned my post; do you think it was a correct decision? I omit the picture as it was a "dead or alive" poster, but this is the text." He said, "Putin is not the Russian president as he came to power as the result of a special operation of blowing up apartment buildings in Russia, then violated the Constitution by eliminating free elections and murdering his opponents. As an ethnic Russian and a Russia citizen, I see it as my moral duty to facilitate the denazification of Russia. I will continue my assistance to Ukraine in its heroic efforts to withstand the onslaught of Putin's Orda."
He also reshared a TikTok of one of the attacks by Russian forces in Ukraine.
Later on the same day, March 2, he shared another post saying, "My offer is getting noticed. If a thousand people chip in a million each, it'd add up to a billion," and upped the bounty. Correcting any misunderstanding or misinterpretation that may have taken place, Konanykhin said, "Some reports suggest that I promised to pay for the assassination of Putin. It is NOT correct. While such an outcome would be cheered by millions of people around the world, I believe that Putin must be brought to justice."
His latest post said, "The war makes clowns out of politicians and politicians out of clowns. Reading today the Newsweek report about my bounty on Putin, I was surprised of feeling honored to see my name next to the name of President Zelensky, a former comedian. Within a week, he became a hero for many. His "I need ammunition, not a ride" response to Biden will become legendary. Compare that to the trembling member of Putin's Security Council, peeing their pants 20 meters away from their master."
