MIAMI, FLORIDA: Lestor Holt, Kristen Welker, and Hugh Hewitt hosted the third GOP debate in the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Miami, Florida. 

Indian-American entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy has shared his take on who should be moderating the debate.

Ramaswamy claims that ousted Fox News host Tucker Carlson, CEO of Tesla and X, formerly known as Twitter, Elon Musk and podcaster Joe Rogan should be moderating the debate instead.

This statement by the GOP candidate has sent the internet into a frenzy.

Vivek Ramaswamy says ‘we’d have ten times the viewership’

When talking about the Republican Party in the third GOP debate, Vivek Ramaswamy claimed “We have become a party of losers.”

As he attempted to back his claims, he then moved on to take a dig at the moderators and claimed Tucker Carlson, Elon Musk and Joe Rogan should be moderating instead.

“Think about who's moderating this debate. This should be Tucker Carlson, Joe Rogan, and Elon Musk. We'd have ten times the viewership,” said Ramaswamy.

He continued, “asking questions that GOP primary voters actually care about and bring in more people into our party.”

He also mentioned Kristen Welker specifically, “Getting the democrats…and we’ve got Kristen Welker. You think the Democrats would actually hire Greg Gutfeld to host a Democratic debate? They wouldn’t do it.”

Internet reacts to Vivek Ramaswamy’s statement

On X, the internet was in a frenzy following Vivek Ramaswamy’s statement.

One person wrote, “@VivekRamaswamy just insulted the moderators. He wants Tucker Carlson, Joe Rogan & Elon Musk to be the moderators. He has now lost his sense of reality. He should just go home now. #GOPDebate”

“Vivek Ramaswamy just said he wished that Tucker Carlson, Elon Musk, and Joe Rogan were the moderators for republican debates” laughed one user.

Another one said, “Vivek Ramaswamy, notable sleep paralysis demon, attacks RNC Chair in opening answer for #GOPDebate. Says debate should be moderated by Tucker Carlson, Elon, and Joe Rogan. Freak doesn't care about his numbers anymore it seems.”

One user wrote, “Vivek Ramaswamy came right out the gate attacking a black journalist. And insisting Elon Musk, Tucker Carlson, and Joe Rogan should moderate the debate #GOPDebate”

Internet claimed that Ramaswamy’s pick of moderators “won’t call him out,”

“Vivek Ramaswamy decided that the debate should be hosted by Tucker Carlson, Joe Rogan & Elon Musk. Maybe because he realizes that they won’t call him out for his nonsense,” a user said.
