WASHINGTON, DC: Republican firebrand Vivek Ramaswamy joined former President Donald Trump in congratulating Javier Milei — a pro-Trump libertarian with an unconventional background that includes work as a "tantric sex coach" — after he was elected as the President of Argentina.

The polarized presidential runoff on Sunday, November 19, saw Milei triumph over Argentina's Economy Minister Sergio Massa, who conceded before the official release of electoral results.

As the Argentine electoral authority released partial results, Milei has secured 55.95 percent of the votes with 86.6 percent tallied, while Massa has garnered 44.04 percent, at the time of publication. This victory signals a shift to the right in Argentina, driven by dissatisfaction with rising inflation and increasing poverty.

Republicans celebrate Javier Milei's victory

Former President Trump expressed his support for Milei through multiple posts on his Truth Social account, lauding Milei's victory and drawing parallels to his famous "Make America Great Again" catchphrase.

Trump's message read, "Congratulations to Javier Milei on a great race for President of Argentina. The whole world was watching! I am very proud of you. You will turn your Country around and truly Make Argentina Great Again!"

Trump's endorsement was accompanied by a photo of Milei proudly posing with the 'Don't Tread on Me' flag, a symbol long associated with libertarian politics.

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy joined in congratulating Milei, but emphasized the challenges ahead for the new president. Ramaswamy noted Argentina's economic struggles and expressed hope for Milei's success, invoking the spirits of renowned economists Ludwig von Mises and Friedrich Hayek.

In a video message, Vivek Ramaswamy delved into Argentina's economic history, stating, "Just a century ago, Argentina was one of the ten wealthiest countries in the world. Today's Argentina suffers 124% inflation and loses economic migrants to other countries. Congratulations to Javier Milei. Now the hard part begins. May the spirits of Mises and Hayek be with you."

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson shared a photo with Milei, and conservative figures such as Ben Shapiro also celebrated the victory on social media.

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) congratulated Milei and posted a video of him vowing to destroy the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development and the Ministry of Women, Genders, and Diversity.

Several conservative influencers, such as Ian Miles Cheong and former Arizona senate candidate Blake Masters, shared posts gushing over Argentina's new president-elect, including a video of Milei declaring, “Leftist sons of b*tches, be afraid!”

Anarcho-capitalist vision and bold policy proposals

Javier Milei, a 52-year-old economist and radio chat show host, describes himself as an anarcho-capitalist. His political rise gained momentum when he was elected to Argentina's parliament in 2021 as a member of 'La Libertad Avanza' ('Freedom Advances').

"If I had to choose between the state and the mafia, I would choose the mafia," he once stated. "Because the mafia has codes, the mafia adapts, the mafia doesn't lie. And above all, the mafia competes."

Milei advocates for reducing government intervention, earning him popularity among disenchanted young voters. Known for his bold statements and unorthodox views, Milei has proposed a 'chainsaw plan' to slash the state, targeting public health and education systems along with reducing government departments.

He has embraced comparisons to former President Trump and openly criticized Pope Francis, calling him a "f***ing communist," "communist turd" and the "representative of the evil one on Earth" in brazen social media posts.

Mastiffs, telepathy, and 'tantric sex'

The president-elect's private life appears equally unconventional, featuring a household of four 200lb English Mastiffs, each named after famous right-wing economists. A recent biography revealed Milei's interest in telepathy, claiming he communicates with his deceased dog Conan for political advice.

While Milei has not denied these claims, he maintains that his personal affairs are his own.

The president-elect's past as a 'tantric sex' coach and his openness about his intimate life have added to his unconventional public image. Milei, who is single and has never married, has discussed his previous role as a tantric sex instructor and his ability to abstain from ejaculation for a full three months.

Raised in Buenos Aires, Milei's tumultuous relationship with his parents led to a decade-long estrangement. Despite studying to become an economist, he tried his luck with daytime TV chat shows around five years ago, where his eccentric claims about his sexual prowess and bold political opinions garnered attention and popularity among viewers, according to the Daily Mail.
