NYPD puzzled as woman kidnapped from street and forced into Toyota minivan 'doesn't appear to be struggling'
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: A woman in her 20s was kidnapped on a street in Brooklyn and taken away in a minivan, leaving authorities puzzled over the circumstances of the abduction. The startling event happened early Friday morning, April 21, at the junction of Avenue W and Stillwell Avenue in the Gravesend area.
According to the NYPD, CCTV footage shows a man approaching the woman with his arms outstretched before taking hold of her and forcibly carrying her into a Toyota minivan. The man appeared to have his arms raised as if trying to stop or get her attention. It is unclear if the victim had any prior knowledge or relationship with the suspect, and investigators are currently working to identify her. The incident was reported to the police by an eyewitness who visited the 60th precinct to report what they saw. As of Saturday morning, April 22, there have been no reports of anyone being kidnapped.

"She didn’t appear to be struggling like you would if it was a stranger," a source told NY Post. According to the source, police are widening their search for more video footage to determine where the man and woman came from before the kidnapping. "It’s kind of a mystery now," the source said.

The victim is reported to be in her 20s, with long hair, standing at around 5 feet 5 inches tall, and weighing around 120 pounds. At the time of the incident, she was wearing a striped shirt, blue skirt, and white sneakers. The suspect, on the other hand, was seen wearing a black shirt, dark pants, and black sneakers. He appears to be in his 30s, stands approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighs around 175 pounds.
