A shocking surveillance footage of an unconscious woman falling out of a moving SUV on a busy road in Florida was released on Friday. The clip also showed a man coming out of the vehicle and dragging the woman back inside.

The "disturbing" footage was released by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. The clip shows the Ford Expedition driving through the intersection at E 131st Avenue and N 15th Street in Tampa, Florida, as a woman falls from the back seat and lies on the road motionless.

The vehicle then stops and a man gets out of the driver's seat and casually walks up to pick up the woman before placing the seemingly unconscious woman back in the SUV and then driving off.

Reports state that the department released the clip in an attempt to appeal for help in identifying the woman and to "determine the well-being" of the woman.

The Ford Expedition was later located by police officials at Texaco station on North Nebraska Avenue and Fowler Avenue after the detectives received a "tip from the community."

Reports state that two people, who were present in the SUV when it was found by authorities, were questioned about the incident. However, they were not arrested.

Detectives, however, are still not certain about what exactly happened to the woman, according to Newsweek.

The police department released a statement, saying: "This is a developing situation and we will put out more information as soon as we can."

The detectives have also said that anyone with any information about the incident should call the Sheriff’s Office at (813) 247-8200.

Reports state that one of the people found in the SUV was a woman, the detectives, however, were not certain whether she was the same woman seen in the footage released by the sheriff's department.

Detectives also added that they checked local hospitals and the University of South Florida, which was near the incident site, during their efforts to establish an identity of the woman.

The officers are reportedly also questioning the owner of the Ford Expedition to determine what happened.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Cristal Nuñez, while talking to the Tampa Bay Times, said: "We don’t believe the owner was the person driving the vehicle."
