Release date

There is no official release date announced for the show. However, it is reported that the shooting will take place across the UK later this year.

Plot

The official synopsis reads: “Famed for her charisma, beauty, and style, Margaret, Duchess of Argyll, dominated the front pages as a divorcee featuring accusations of forgery, theft, violence, drug-taking, secret recording, bribery, and an explicit polaroid picture all played out in the white-hot glare of the 1960s media. As her contemporaries, the press, and the judiciary sought to vilify her, Margaret kept her head held high with bravery and resilience, refusing to go quietly as she was betrayed by her friends and publicly shamed by a society that reveled in her fall from grace.”

Cast

Claire Foy

Foy is one of the most prominent names in the British entertainment industry and gained prominence for her portrayal as Anne Boleyn in the series ‘Wolf Hall’. However, she received universal acclaim after portraying Queen Elizabeth II in the blockbuster Netflix show ‘The Crown’. The series made her receive the Golden Globe in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2017 and a Primetime Emmy in the same category later that year.
