Vegan mother drinks sperm smoothies to help immune system fight coronavirus despite lack of evidence
A vegan mom has claimed that she is fighting off the novel coronavirus by drinking smoothies containing her boyfriend's sperm.
Tracy Kiss, 32, from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, UK, revealed she drinks either a "shot" of sperm or a smoothie containing her boyfriend's semen at least three times a week because she believes it boosts her immune system.
While there is no medical evidence whatsoever to support her claim, the mother-of-two, who is also a vegan, has urged others to follow try out some for themselves cause it could help them fend off Covid-19.
She also insisted it adhered to her vegan principles because consuming it was no different from breastfeeding, and that she sometimes disguised the taste in a smoothie with fresh berries and bananas.
"I found a free and vegan-friendly alternative method to boost the body's immune system," she said. "You don't always know what is in pharmaceutical medicine - it is much better for the body to drink something that doesn't contain chemicals."
"It isn't much different to a mother breastfeeding her newborn to give them the nutrients they need," she added.
Kiss said it was best to consume the semen almost immediately after it was produced to get the "most nutrients and benefits" but revealed that she often stored it in the freezer in an ice cube tray because she and her partner were in a long-distance relationship.
The 32-year-old went on to claim that she looked at this only from a health perspective and that she felt the semen supplement was helping her in her fight against the coronavirus.
"I think a lot of people try new ways to boost their immune system when they start presenting symptoms but that is too late - you must make the immune system strong prior to an illness to ensure you can fight it off," she said.
"The smoothies aren't any different to drinking honey and lemon water when you have a sore throat," she continued. "It is just another natural remedy but completely free - you don't have to have a partner, you could just ask a male friend who is healthy."
Kiss shared that, while people think she's joking because "it seems too good to be true that I am being so open about a 'taboo' subject," she was dead serious about her beliefs.
"I am going against societies 'norm' to educate and help other people who are missing out on nutrients," she said. "I want to make a difference which is why I am sharing this home remedy."
The mother-of-two had previously spoken about how drinking the sperm smoothies had helped her fend off other illnesses as well and that spreading it on your face improved your skin.
"Sperm is an awesome product and we should stop being so ridiculous about it – the health benefits have been well researched and more women and men should take advantage of it particularly as its made by our own bodies and doesn’t contain e-numbers and chemicals," she said at the time.
However, medical experts have warned against such a remedy, pointing out there was no scientific evidence to support her assertion.
"There's no scientific evidence whatsoever that drinking sperm will stop flu," said Dr. Carol Cooper. "Plus, depending on where the semen comes from, you could be at risk of catching viruses including HIV and Zika."
