Plot
As per Netflix, the eponymous Valeria is a writer in crisis, both with her novels and in her married life. Thankfully, her three best friends, Carmen, Lola and Nerea, support her through her adventures, while having ones of their own. Valeria and her friends are immersed in a whirlwind of emotions about love, friendship, jealousy, unfaithfulness, doubts, heartbreak, secrets, work, worries, joy and dreams of the future.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan, Benavent said, “This project came about in a natural way. When I imagined it in my head it was a series and I consumed a lot of others that I was watching when I started writing, like 'Sex and the City' and 'Girls'.”
“The great love story of this series occurs between friends and that is very cool. That family that is always there,” said Paula Malia who plays Carmen on the show.

Trailer
The trailer that dropped on Tuesday, April 14, begins with the titular character at a job interview that seemed to be going badly already. Valeria, when asked about what kind of a writer she is, goes into an existential crisis.
“I’m a fake. Everyone thinks I’m finishing my novel. But I’ve only written ten pages,” says a frustrated Valeria in a soliloquy. At the same time, money’s running out in her bank account. But a twist enters Valeria’s life in the form of the handsome and funny Víctor, who helps her get back to writing. There is a catch though. Valeria is already married and unhappily so.
The trailer has, as the author of book saga pointed out, a strong ‘Sex and the City’ vibe and for fans of the Sarah Jessica Parker show, ‘Valeria’ would be a perfect binge-watch.
