Quavo surprises Saweetie on V-Day with violin cover of 'My Time' in hotel, posts and deletes video later
Quavious Marshall, professionally known as Quavo, sure knows how to serenade his woman. On Valentine's day, the rapper-singer surprised his girlfriend Saweetie, by having a violinist play her song - 'My Type' - which is also extremely close to her heart.
Quavo even shared the video of Saweetie rapping along with the live performance in her hotel room that was later deleted.
The couple has been dating for over a year now and first met on the sets of Quavo's song 'Workin Me'. Ever since they have been in a loving relationship. Despite the equation, there's been no news of them taking it to the next level. But they for sure praise each other whenever the opportunity presents itself.
The couple was at the Billboard Music Awards 2019 when they got asked about their song - 'Emotional' - that they put collaborated on. Quavo complimented Saweetie's west coast style of rapping and how that is very different and unique. "So that's what I am happy to be a part of," he added. Whereas, Saweetie went all out on how Quavo has been a guide of sorts through the entire process.
“He’s one of my best teachers. He’s so seasoned. He has so many accomplishments so he just teaches me in the studio, with my writing, with everything that comes with the game, so I really appreciate him," she concluded.
Saweetie has recently dropped a single (which will serve as a 'Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey' soundtrack) in collaboration with GALXARA. The video was an instant hit. It has the girls channeling their inner Harley wearing colorful clothes and hair tied into high pigtails. What makes it more interesting is that it takes visuals from the movie and mixes it up with the music video.
Meanwhile, Quavo is prepping for his performance at the NBA All-Star game scheduled for this Sunday at Chicago's United Centre.
