WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH: A Utah man, out on parole for attempted murder, is now accused of abducting a teen near her high school in broad daylight, drugging her, raping her while filming the act, and then proclaiming "God will forgive" him

Creed Cole Lujan, 43, had been driving around schools in the Salt Lake City area on Monday, January 27, when he spied a 15-year-old Hunter High School student walking alone around 2:30 pm and forced her into his car, according to Deseret News.

He had pulled a knife on her and threatened to kill her if she did not comply with his orders, with a criminal complaint stating he "laid the front seat all the way back and forced her to stay lying down on the seat and floor of the car."

He then "duct-taped her hands and her feet together and put duct tape over her mouth" before taking her phone from her, putting gloves on and wiping off the phone with "some blue chemicals" and throwing it out of the car.

The police were first notified of the girl's disappearance around 3:15 pm by her mother, who had called to report that she had not returned home from school and that it was very unlike her. She said she had traced the teen's phone to the area of 3618 S. 6470 West and found it lying in the middle of the road.

Police drove to the scene and located a doorbell camera that showed a vehicle pulling up to the girl, the driver talking to her, and her getting into the vehicle a short time later.

They eventually tracked her down at 4:15 pm "crying hysterically and running frantically through the area," following which she told them that Lujan had taken her to his house on 3542 S. 6555 West, drugged her, and raped her.

She made her take three pills to "relax" her and promised her he would let her go "by 3 pm" if she took the pills. She also said the 43-year-old "photographed and videoed her, and then raped her," and afterward, "told her he had cancer and that he hoped God will forgive him."

When the police reached his home and entered it, they saw his bedroom was exactly as the victim had described it, and found Lujan shaving in his bathroom seemingly in a bid to alter his appearance.

He was subsequently arrested and charged with rape, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated sexual abuse of a child, two counts of aggravated assault, distribute pornographic material, threat of violence, and tampering with evidence.

Lujan had previously pleaded guilty to attempted murder in the 3rd District Court in connection to an incident where he tried to kill a housekeeper at the Crystal Inn in West Valley City by grabbing her neck and choking her until she was unconscious.

He had been sentenced to three years to life in Utah State Prison but was released on parole in January 2015.
