On Thursday, August 13, Sen. Elizabeth Warren took to her Twitter to launch a full-blown attack against Postmaster General Louis DeJoy. In a series of tweets, Warren urged the U.S. Postal Service's internal ethics watchdog to investigate the "corruption" by Postmaster General Louis DeJoy in purchasing the Amazon stock options after his appointment as Postmaster General. She attached a CNN report which revealed that alongside his Amazon stocks, the Postmaster General continues to hold shareholdings worth about $30 million in his former company- XPO Logistics, which happens to be the United States Postal Service contractor.

Warren tweeted, "Postmaster General Louis DeJoy's investments in @USPS competitors were already deeply problematic. But his purchase of @Amazon stock options after his appointment is inexcusable. The @OIGUSPS must investigate this corruption." In its report, CNN pointed out how DeJoy's investments were likely to create a "conflict of interests" situation, according to ethics experts.

Following Warren's tweets accusing him of "corruption", DeJoy released a statement ensuring that he takes his "ethical obligations" seriously and is compliant to it. His statement reads, "I take my ethical obligations seriously, and I have done what is necessary to ensure that I am and will remain in compliance with those obligations."

Aside from his shady financial dealings, DeJoy's recent changes to the postal service's operations have left many people concerned. Since he toom over the Postmaster General's office in June, he has eliminated overtime and slowed some mail delivery. Democrats have claimed that he is intentionally slowing down the postal service operations to sabotage mail-in voting during the November elections, although DeJoy continues denying it. DeJoy claims these new changes are to change and improve the Postal Service to better serve the American public.

Despite DeJoy's claims and reassurances, the internet isn't willing to buy it. His close relationship with Trump isn't helping his cause much either. Trump's disdain for in-mail voting has been well documented. With USPS delaying the delivery of mails in recent times, added more fuel to the fire. Several people took to their Twitter to demand the firing of DeJoy from his position of Postmaster General. A Twitter user tweeted, "#FireLouisDeJoy for deliberately sabotaging the #USPS to help #DictatorTrump try to rig the election in his favor during the #CoronavirusPandemic. What will @realDonaldTrump and his #GOP enablers think of next?? Everyone #VoteBlueDownBallot to drain the swamp!!"

Another user wrote, "Whow After only a mere 32 days @USPS has delivered a coast to coast package that normaly takes 3 days Better than shipment from same sender that took 42 days We business owners have zero faith in postal service that now is hurting our economy #VoteEarly #FireLouisDeJoy #FundUSPS."

"This is an emergency no alter what party you are. This man has between 35M and 75M invested in competitors which is illegal #firelouisdejoy," pointed out a concerned user.

"I've had it with congress & the senate! We need to rise up and demand that they cancel recess & return to D.C. to #DoYourJob. Call every damned day & demand that they #FireLouisDeJoy, #FundUSPS, & pass the #CARESAct. The country is in chaos, this is no time for a holiday!" expressed an annoyed user.

"@SenToomey @SenBobCasey I am relaying my strong request to have this man removed from office and to stop the destruction of the USPS. This man , by his actions, assists in probable voter supression.#FireLouisDeJoy," demanded a user.
