15-year-old US boy abducted and raped at gunpoint by three schoolmates in Pakistan
A 15-year-old male student, who is a Pakistan-American dual national, was reportedly sexually assaulted by three of his schoolmates. Rawalpindi police in Pakistan registered an FIR against three suspects on Thursday.
The victim reportedly came to Pakistan to study one-and-a-half-years ago and is a Grade 8 student in a private school in Rawalpindi. Police officials confirmed that two of the three suspects have been arrested and a search is underway for a third suspect who is on the run, according to Dawn News TV.
The primary suspect is a senior student of the same school studying in Grade 12 who, with two of his friends, allegedly sexually assaulted the teenager on the pretext of taking him out for ice cream.
Authorities registered a case against the suspects under Sections 292, 34, 367A and 377 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). Section 292 A of the PPC deals with exposing children to seduction. Section 377 deals with unnatural offenses and Section 367 deals with kidnapping with the intent to subject a person to grave harm, while Section 34 deals with common intention, according to the outlet.
The FIR, which was registered by the victim on April 25, states that he had gone shopping to Saddar on April 19 when he ran into his schoolmate who was with his friends. The victim, in the document, stated that the three perpetrators lured him into an ice cream shop and then forcibly took him to a parking lot in a car and attempted to assault him. The victim alleged that when he tried to make noise, they tied his mouth shut with a cloth in an attempt to silence him.
The suspects, according to the FIR, then took him to a shelter in a deserted area and took turns assaulting him. He said that while one of them assaulted him, the other would hold a pistol and third would make a video. The victim said that the clips were then forwarded to other people. He added that the senior student then sent the video to the teen later and coerced him again. However, the victim, this time, contacted the police and a case was registered against the perpetrators.
DSP Cantt Sardar Babar Mumtaz, while talking to the outlet, said that the victim has undergone a medical examination and doctors will give their final report once a DNA test is received from experts.
The victim's cousin, Mohammad Nasir, said that the teen's parents reside in the United States and had left their son to study in Pakistan a year and a half ago. The teen is reportedly being sent back to his parents in the US after the incident.
