Madeline Kingsbury: Mother-of-two sparks urgent search after 'out of character' disappearance
WINONA, MINNESOTA: Authorities are currently conducting an urgent search for mother-of-two, Madeline Kingsbury as a result of her "out of character" disappearance. Search attempts were prompted when Kingsbury failed to pick up her children from the daycare center and arrive at work on Friday, March 31.
The Winona Police Department reports that the 26-year-old was last seen on the morning of Friday, March 31. She was listed as a missing person in danger by Minnesota police as of Monday, April 3. In a statement, Winona Police claimed that Kingsbury "was supposed to show up for work that morning but didn't," according to the Sun. Police added, "Numerous calls and messages from friends and family went unanswered. Kingsbury was supposed to pick her children up from daycare that afternoon but didn't show up or make other arrangements. All of this is extremely out of character for her," according to the Sun. The search for Kingsbury is ongoing, and investigators have spoken to friends and family to gather information.

'We still need to bring Madeline Kingsbury home'
Family members of Kingsbury have posted requests for her return on social media. Photos of Kingsbury were reshared on Facebook by her brother Steven. He wrote, "Have to keep generating awareness until my little sister is found, everyone who's stepped up and pitched in has been phenomenal, keep the fire burning, it's plain to see how greatly loved Madeline is by so many."
Megan, Kingsbury's sister, revealed that Kingsbury is a parent to two young children. The Facebook page 'The Search for Maddi' was established to assist in the search. Cathy, Kingsbury's stepmother, also shared pictures on her Facebook page. "We still need to bring Madeline Kingsbury home. Please keep looking," she said.
What current progress has been made in the search?
Recent information released publicly by the police on Monday, April 3, claimed that a van that matched the description of Kingsbury's was allegedly seen leaving Winona on Friday, March 31. Kingsbury is thought to have been driving a 2014 Chrysler Town & Country in a dark blue color.
Police have asked residents in Winona and Fillmore counties who live near Highway 43 to "check their properties, including any video cameras, doorbell cameras, game cameras, etc. for any signs of the van passing through or stopping," according to the Sun. The authorities require information between 8 am on Friday, March 31, and 4 pm on Saturday, April 1.
