Season 2 of 'Unpolished' is just a couple of episodes down and the focus of it is the hardships that each member of the Martone family has been facing after patriarch Mike Martone aka Big Mike died due to cancer in May last year. His death has left a void in the lives of his wife Jennifer Martone and daughters Lexi and Bria. The trio has been racking their brains over how to keep their business running because none of them were in the know of the financial transactions. Everything was taken care of by Big Mike and in the aftermath of his death, the piling bills have been giving Jennifer and Lexi a lot of sleepless nights. However, the same cannot be said for Bria, who has immersed herself in planning her wedding.

Bria refused to cut corners for her wedding and wanted it to happen the same way that she had planned with Big Mike. This caused a lot of friction between Bria and Lexi because the latter was putting in 16 to 18-hour shifts at their family-owned Salon Martone to make money while Bria didn't put in the same efforts.

After their financial issues had come to the fore, Lexi asked Bria to consider cutting down the budget for the wedding, but she was met with disappointment. Jennifer too supported Bria and decided that she could spend whatever money was required for the wedding because that is what Big Mike would have wanted. This caused Lexi to blow up and she had a huge showdown with her mother over how she's ignored her for Bria's happiness over the years. What drove Lexi to get into a fight with Jennifer also partly had to do with the unhappiness that engulfed her after she broke things off with her boyfriend Joe Fraumeni.

Coming to the day of the bridal shower, Lexi still showed up. However, she kept to herself and in a confessional to the cameras called the event "suffocating". Lexi told the cameras that she was happy for Bria but didn't feel like her whole life revolves around the bridal shower. Unlike what her mother felt, Bria's bridal shower was not the only thing on earth, Lexi said. After a point, she exited the venue to get some fresh air and when she returned she was already stripped from her duties of giving a speech for her sister and Bria passed on the honor to her cousins instead.

Fans watching this episode were disappointed with Bria for the move and took to Twitter to blast her. "Lexi needs more support and it’s clearly not coming from her sister #unpolished," wrote a fan. "They should have discussed and told Lexi so she doesn't feel snubbed and embarrassed as others might ask why she wasn't giving a toast. #Unpolished," wrote another fan. "That was horrible they excluded Lexi from the speeches. #Unpolished," read another tweet.
