'Unpolished': Matt checks into rehab as family questions Bria's decision to stay in relationship
Matt and Bria's relationship has been through ups and downs but the two seemed to finally be in good terms after he popped the big question. Matt surprised Bria with a proposal that ended in the entire family celebrating. However, Bria's sister, Lexi was not too happy about the relationship as she questioned Matt's ability to stay sober.
In the previous episode, Bria had admitted that there had been multiple times when Matt promised to be sobering up but then ended up going back to his old ways. While Bria was too confident it won't happen again, she was shattered to see that Matt lost track of himself while the two celebrated their engagement.
Matt was found unconscious in the washroom and Bria soon realized that he has overdosed. It was later revealed that Matt had decided to head back to rehab and get his act straight. While Bria was upset with how the events had turned out, she revealed that she had decided to stay engaged to Matt and stand by his side.
However, her family was not too happy to see this. The events raised their doubts about Matt and wondered if he was the perfect guy for Bria. In the past, Matt had cheated on Bria many times and used her money to buy things for other girls. At the same time, he had been in and out of rehab quite often.
Her parents, Jen and Big Mike were not impressed to see Matt going to rehab again. "Bria tells me that she loves him but they have only been back together for a year," Jen says. "Since then it has been two times since he has fallen off the wagon or relapsed or whatever you want to call it."
Mike also echoed similar thoughts as he stated that he loves his daughters too much to watch them get hurt by anyone. Jen thought that it was hard for them to accept this relationship knowing that Matt had not been in the best place.
"I am worried about my daughter and I think about this every day," Mike said. He added that he can't keep doing this and if something like this happened every day then they would be having a problem. Even though the pair decided to support their daughter they did not seem too confident of the relationship.
