Sofiia Karkadym: Ukrainian refugee dumped by lover arrested after trying to kick down his front door
YORKSHITE, UNITED KINGDOM: An Ukrainian refugee who yelled and kicked the front door of her former British lover of four months has been arrested. The incident which took place on Saturday, September 24, was reported by neighbors when they heard Sofiia Karkadym, 22, kicking the door of Tony Garnett’s rented cottage and shouting "I love you Tony" in Bradford, they had earlier shared. It was in May when Tony and his partner with two kids welcomed Sofiia after she flee her home country due to the ongoing war.
Tony Garnett, 30, a security guard made into the news after he dumped his partner of 10 years to move in with Sofiia Karkadym, but the relationship ended after four months. The cops were called in and she was arrested after being discovered hiding in bushes during a brief search.

After questioning by police, she was released without being charged and was asked to stay away from Tony after the incident. It is reported that she has told the police that she wishes to go back to her hometown and be with her family. Also, Sofiia Karkadym’s emergency visa valid for six months expires in a couple of weeks.
Tony talked with MailOnline, “It is the perfect storm. Her visa runs out and she's got nothing here in this country. She's not with me anymore and she's got no reason to stay. I did not want her to be charged with anything. I think she has been through a lot and you have to at least sympathize with the fact that she's from a country which has been invaded. She is from Lviv which hasn't really been affected as much as other parts of Ukraine. So hopefully she'll be safe back with her family.”
He further shared that Sofiia is a "heavy drinker" and she has issues with him putting his daughter before her. “I am a security guard and I can look after myself, but I don't like violence. And I was worried that she gets very angry. It was my 30th birthday at the weekend and she ruined it by getting very aggressive after drinking too much and then the incident with a knife happened in the kitchen." "I have decided that I don't want to be in a relationship with her anymore. I have to put my daughters first. She hates the idea that I've got two children with my ex-partner Lorna.” he added.
