'Britain's worst female pedophile' Vanessa George who sexually assaulted over 30 babies released after only 10 years in prison

Britain's most notorious female pedophile, Vanessa George, has reportedly been released from prison despite not having revealed the identities of the children she abused.

The 49-year-old former nursery worker was imprisoned for a minimum of seven years in 2009 after she sexually assaulted at least 30 babies and toddlers who were in her care. She also took 64 pictures of herself harming babies at Little Ted's nursery in Plymouth and sent those images to other pedophiles.

George, who was said to have "plumbed new depths of depravity", was denied parole in May 2017 after she completed the minimum seven years of her sentence. The parole board, however, in 2019 decided to release the convict after a review was conducted earlier in July.

The 49-year-old was imprisoned at the HMP Send near Guildford, Surrey. She reportedly convinced a parole board she no longer posed a "significant risk" to children after having undergone treatment to boost her "self-esteem."

Meanwhile, the parents of the victims are furious that she has been released despite not revealing how many children had she abused or their identities. A father, who had a child in the particular nursey, after her release on Tuesday, said that he was "disgusted" after hearing the news, according to the BBC. "I knew this was coming, but to find out on the day it's already happened has made it worse. Again, no consideration for the victims," the father said. "Our sentence is still carrying on. The only time she's feigned remorse is in her first interview. I believe that woman is still a danger to children. She's had those urges before. I don't think they will ever go away. I think there's a very, very strong possibility she could do it again."

Another parent whose child was at the same nursery reportedly claimed that he would kill George if he ever saw her out on the street. The father, earlier this month had said: "The whole process from start to finish has been a mess. She should never be released. The parents, myself included, have been offered no support. We've had this dropped on us and just left. Only the probation service have offered some support."

Labour MP for Plymouth, Luke Pollard, while speaking to the outlet's Victoria Derbyshire Programme: "Labour MP for Plymouth. She should not be released at all. She still refuses to name the babies and toddlers that she abused, and the sheer level of anger and disgust that families here in Plymouth feel about this cannot be underestimated. It really is wrong that she is being released, especially when she keeps refusing to name those kids."
