'Twogether' on Netflix: Meet travel buddies Lee Seung-gi and Jasper Liu who explore six Asian cities
If you are craving for more adventures after the lockdown, Netflix's latest show 'Twogether' will inspire you to go on a trip once the pandemic is over. The series follows two handsome Asian stars, Lee Seung-gi and Jasper Liu, as they set off in search of their fans in various countries in the region, and become friends in the process despite their language differences. Lee and Liu have adventures in six different Asian cities during the course of their travels. Chosen by their fans, they fixate on a few destinations and begin by visiting Yogyakarta and Bali in Indonesia, then Bangkok and Chiang Mai in Thailand, and finally ending with Pokhara and Kathmandu in Nepal. Going by the official description, If they successfully complete missions given in each city, they will be allowed to head to a special place to meet their waiting fans.
While Lee is a variety show veteran, Liu is a variety show beginner and as they stay and travel together, the chemistry grows between the two. Here's all you need to know about the travel buddies:
Lee Seung-gi
A South Korean singer, actor, and host, he is known for crooning tracks like 'Because You're My Woman', 'Will You Marry Me', and 'Return'. He rose to fame as an actor with roles in films like 'Brilliant Legacy' (2009), 'My Girlfriend Is a Nine-Tailed Fox' (2010), 'Gu Family Book' (2013), 'A Korean Odyssey' (2017–2018), and Vagabond (2019). His success soon earned him the title of the 'Triple Threat' entertainer and he was also a part of the Forbes Korea Power Celebrity list in 2010.
Jasper Liu Yi-how
A Taiwanese actor, model, and musician, Liu's most notable works include 'In Time with You' (2011), 'Pleasantly Surprised' (2014), 'When I See You Again' (2016), 'Before We Get Married' (2019) and 'Triad Princess' (2019). Not just that, he was also a part of the electronic rock band Morning Call from 2009 to 2016. He went through a tough time in 2010 when his grandmother died, his mother was suffering through breast cancer and his elder sister had trouble with high blood pressure and his pet Pomeranian dog ChiChi that he often called his "first girlfriend" passed away. However, he came stronger in 2011 after being cast inin the idol drama 'In Time with You'.
Produced by SangSang, the filming began last September in Indonesia and ended in the fall of 2019. Get set to enjoy the travel reality show as it drops on Netflix on Friday, June 26.
