TV reporter suffers bizarre wardrobe malfunction as she forgets to put her arm in the sleeve of her designer gown

Fiona Willan suffered a hilarious wardrobe mishap which she was able to cover up successfully and gracefully

A TV presenter accidentally suffered from a major but hilarious outfit mishap while at a glamorous ball and was laughed at by her colleagues.

An Australian political reporter, Fiona Willan, attended the Federal Parliament's Midwinter Ball which took place in Canberra earlier this week. However, she seemed to have put her beautiful white Toni Maticevski gown on in a hurry.

The dress had initially appeared to be a one-sleeved design but, on close inspection, the material that was left dangling turned out to be the second sleeve.

Willan shared the wardrobe mishap (see below) and seemed to be taking the mistake in her stride. "This is the bit where I need to confess that I forgot to put my arm through my sleeve! (With apologies to Toni Maticevski)," she wrote.

At some point during the evening, Willan realized the mistake that she had made and managed to get her second arm into the sleeve. The next morning, her Nine News colleagues laughed and poked fun at the fashion faux-pas. They also questioned her about what exactly had happened.

"I got distracted while I was getting dressed and I didn't put the sleeve on," Willan wrote. "But I didn't notice until halfway through the night."

Looking on the bright side, Willan noted how versatile the dress was. She also shared a funny video on her social media which shows some light-hearted interrogation by her newsroom colleagues the day after the incident.

Willan then took to Twitter to share the bizarre incident, "A well-deserved stitch-up from my dear Sydney workmates." Many people responded to the post to say that they could not even tell that there had been a wardrobe mishap. One person wrote, "You rocked it and no one even knew." While another added, "I think I prefer the way you wore it."
