#TulsaDeathRally: Trump's supporters head to Tulsa rally without masks, Internet calls it 'corona fest 2020'
President Donald Trump had anticipated nearly 100,000 people at Tulsa rally as tickets for the event had been sold out. However, when the event took place, less than the expected count of people showed up. Despite this, some of his supporters made sure that they were there to support the president. While some sat in the chairs all night, others slept outside the venue for a day or two to make sure they were the first ones to get inside. Their efforts have not gone to waste as they all managed to take their seats in the arena. However, one thing many people noticed was how none of the attendees were wearing masks or gloves.
With coronavirus being declared as a pandemic and more than a million people being affected by it in the US, many social media users were worried about what the rally would mean for the coronavirus situation. "Let the infections begin! It's been a long time since we've seen that many stupid people in one place," one user wrote while sharing a video that showed Trump supports getting inside the arena.
"Watching the Trump rally enjoying the fact that his supporters aren’t wearing a mask... (COVID outbreak) It isn’t even full! He will be red & orange tonight! Raise your glass & toast the end of his presidency!" another joked about how the entire arena was empty. One said, "Dear Trump supporters, the mask goes over your nose AND mouth not either or #TrumpCoronaFest2020 #trumprallyfail." Another wrote, "Can Trump be sued when one of the rally people get COVID because 98% of the people are not wearing a mask ?#TulsaRally #Coronapalooza #TrumpRally2020." One more said, "People are risking their lives to watch a live #Twitter rant. No mask, everyone’s huddled together screaming the USA. You can’t make this stuff up." Another said, "Not wearing a mask at a public event like this should be a crime with a $30,000 fine and up to 5 years in prison. People are going to die." One more said, "There were more people than this shopping at my local Marshalls today."
Actress Jameela Jamil was among the people who passed a comment about how unsafe it was for people to attend the event without taking measures to make sure they are protected. "No masks. I give thee: The Second Wave," she wrote as she also shared a video where the attendees could be seen rushing through the gate to enter the arena.
