MORRISTOWN, NEW JERSEY: Former president Donald Trump’s health has come under scrutiny once again after his personal physician, Dr Bruce Aronwald, issued a statement affirming his exceptional health.

Who is Dr Bruce Aronwald?
Dr Bruce Aronwald, self-identified as "Trump's personal physician since 2021," detailed in the note that Trump’s most recent comprehensive examination was on September 13, 2023.
Aronwald asserted that Trump's cardiovascular studies showed normal results, cancer screenings were negative, and Trump had managed to reduce his weight too.
However, the note lacked specific details about the tests conducted or comprehensive health metrics, leaving critics skeptical.
According to US News Health, Aronwald practices family medicine in Morristown, New Jersey, and is associated with Morristown Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine and has amassed over two decades of professional experience in the field.
Trump, aged 77, has faced scrutiny over recent verbal missteps, fueling speculations about his cognitive health, CNN reports.
Lately, Trump addressed a crowd in Sioux City, Iowa, where he inadvertently expressed gratitude to attendees for coming to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, prompting correction attempts by an Iowa state senator. The whole exchange was caught incidentally on a live microphone.
In a subsequent summit held in Washington, DC, Trump made a statement suggesting that Biden could instigate "World War II," which concluded nearly eight decades ago. Additionally, he seemed to conflate Biden with former President Barack Obama, asserting that he was ahead of Obama in election polls.
The discussion surrounding Trump's fitness for office intensified following Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' commentary, stating that the presidency is not suited for individuals "pushing 80."
DeSantis juxtaposed his own relative youth against Trump's age, emphasizing concerns about the capabilities of older leaders in comparison to younger counterparts.
Internet reacts with skepticism about Trump's latest health report
The public response to Aronwald's note has been mixed, with doubts surfacing about the credibility of the assessment. Social media buzzed with skepticism, questioning the qualifications and impartiality of Trump's physician.
On X, one social media user commented, "Regarding the glowing medical report on Trump.: This guy is a DO in NJ. He is not qualified to render such opinions and does not have the education or ability to do cognitive testing. I bet Mr. Trump is still drinking Diet Coke and fast food."

Another user remarked critically on the content of the health report, saying, "Trump doctor reveals health report: 'Cognitive exams were exceptional.' That is NOT a medical diagnosis. It's almost as if Trump wrote it himself, like he did for his 'doctor's letter' in 2015."

A third individual highlighted previous credibility issues, stating, "The guy who never released his tax returns and lies about his weight and height released a 'medical report' and we're supposed to take it seriously? Lol."

Another respondent doubted the transparency of the report, stating, "Glad Trump is healthy but does anyone believe his Dr would let us know if there were concerns."
Glad Trump is healthy but does anyone believe his Dr would let us kno if there were concerns. But either way he’s got a lot more energy than #SleelyJoe. And a lot less than @RonDeSantis !https://t.co/rVQdKLR9SD

Adding to the chorus of skeptics, a fifth user insisted, "I'd like to see a medical report from an independent Doctor after a real physical on Trump. It can't possibly be good."

Trump's past controversies associated with health evaluations
This isn't the first time Trump's health evaluations have drawn controversy. Back in 2015, a similar letter by Dr Harold Bornstein claimed Trump would be the "healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency."
Bornstein later admitted that Trump dictated the entire letter, raising concerns about the authenticity of such statements, as reported by NPR.
Moreover, during Trump's tenure in the White House, Dr Ronny Jackson, the presidential physician at the time, presented a favorable evaluation of Trump's health. Despite Jackson's praise, Trump's tenure faced scrutiny.
A Pentagon inspector general report also accused Jackson of inappropriate conduct, including drinking alcohol, making sexual comments, and mistreating subordinates, allegations he vehemently denied, NBC reported.
