Trump's approval rating beats Nancy Pelosi's despite more Americans saying he lost shutdown standoff
Nancy Pelosi's disapproval ratings this month noted a six percent increase from November, when she was expected to become the next House Speaker.
President Donald Trump has reportedly come out of the government shutdown standoff with a higher approval rating than House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, according to reports.
The Republican garnered higher approval rating despite most Americans blaming him for the standoff with Democrats that led to shutdown.
According to a Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll, Trump had a 43 percent approval rating taken before he announced the reopening of federal government.
Reports state that he had a 54 percent disapproval rating at the point but it was not worse than a similar survey taken in December before the shutdown began.
