Donald Trump's 'hat hair' steals the show during his visit to Virginia church

President Donald Trump made news on Sunday with a rare church visit on Franklin Graham's 'Pray for Donald Trump Day' Sunday and for his slick "hat hair" which took the internet by storm. The president attended the event wearing golf clothes and golf shoes.

The Republican made the unannounced visit to northern Virginia’s McLean Bible Church after spending four and a half hours at his golf course in Sterling. Reports state that Trump spent 15 minutes at the church as pastor David Platt prayed for him.

“Many of you may have seen that there were calls to, particularly on this Sunday, pray for our president,” Platt said. “We don’t want to do that just on this Sunday. We want to do that continually, day in and day out. So I want to ask us to bow our heads together now and pray for our president," the HuffPost reported.

“I and many other Christian leaders across the country are asking you to take a moment during that day to pray for President Donald Trump,” Graham said in a video. “I don’t believe any president in the history of this nation has been attacked more than Donald Trump.”

White House Deputy Press Secretary Judd Deere released a statement saying that Trump was visiting the McLean Bible Church to pray for the victims and community of Virginia Beach after Friday's shooting, which left 12 dead and multiple others injured. However, the pastor, in the five minutes of remarks he gave in Trump’s presence, did not mention the shooting at all.

Trump, who wore khaki pants, a blue golf shirt, a dark blazer, and light-colored golf shoes, did not say anything during his brief appearance.

A Colorado Christian school teacher and former Republican activist, Kendal Unruh, said: "This is the sad thing. It won’t matter... It doesn’t matter how much he mocks our faith." Unruh had reportedly led an unsuccessful effort at the 2016 convention to dump Trump as the nominee.

Trump's combed back hair, however, made the most news of his Sunday visit, with many social media users saying that his slick hair looked more normal than the much-talked-about look he generally sports.

Twitter user Stephen Robbins said: "Trump takes off his hat and somehow...his hair looks...normal? Which means the thing he normally does is like, a choice."

While another user, appearing to mock the Republican, added: "On his way back from golf, Trump stops at McLean Bible Church to "pay respects" to victims of the Virginia Beach shooting. In respectful golf clothes, with respectful hat hair and again with the way too long respectful pants. Respect."
