Trump says he loves Tiffany, denies claims he doesn’t like being photographed with her because of her weight: 'Absolutely false'

President Donald Trump denied reports that he thought his daughter Tiffany was overweight and that he did not like to be photographed with her.
On Thursday, Trump's personal assistant, Madeleine Westerhout, 28, was asked to resign after the president found out that she told reporters that he thought his daughter Tiffany was overweight. Westerhout had also talked about the president's 13-year-old son Barron and his eating habits to White House correspondents during an off-the-record dinner a few weeks ago, according to The New York Times.
Trump, while speaking on the White House South Lawn before flying to Camp David for the weekend, told reporters that Westerhout's claims were "absolutely false." He said that his daughter was a "great person," adding that he had planned to speak to her later and called the insinuations "hurtful." Westerhout had reportedly claimed that Trump does not like to be photographed with Tiffany because she is overweight.

The president also told the reporters that Westerhout had called him to say she had been drinking the night she spoke to the White House correspondents during the "off the record" dinner.
Westerhout reportedly told journalists that she had a better relationship with Trump than his daughters Ivanka and Tiffany.
Shortly after her comments were made public, Westerhout was removed as the Oval Office gatekeeper late on Thursday for revealing inside information about the president's family.
President Trump called the whole situation "unfortunate," and said that the 28-year-old had called him to apologize.
"I really think she had a bad night," Trump said. "She said she was drinking. And the whole thing was very unfortunate, and I think the press is very dishonest because it was supposed to be off the record. But still, you don’t say things like she said, which were just a little bit hurtful to some people."
When asked if he had spoken to his daughter since the news broke, Trump said: "We have a call in, she's going to be calling me back as soon as we get to Camp David," the Daily Mail reported.
He added: "I'm going to [tell her] say it's just absolutely false. She's a wonderful person. She's studied so hard, she's a great student, and she's such a great person. So I look forward to talking to her. I'll be talking to her as soon as I get... And I love Tiffany. Tiffany's a great person."
