Trump says ‘Stimulus Checks’ sent to him will go to people 'immediately', Internet calls it ‘drug-fueled lie'

President Donald Trump recently ended the negotiations over the Covid-19 relief bill by announcing that it would be passed after November 3 elections. As soon as the talks on the stimulus plan to boost the economy crippled by the novel coronavirus were ended, the Wall Street plunged.

Trump tweeted on Tuesday (October 6), “I have instructed my representatives to stop negotiating until after the election when, immediately after I win, we will pass a major Stimulus Bill that focuses on hardworking Americans and Small Business”

The budget talks between the Democratic Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin began in July. Trump even accused “Crazy Nancy Pelosi” and the Radical Left Democrats of “playing games” and only focusing on taking care of “Democrat failed, high crime, Cities and States.” He further stated, “They were never in it to help the workers, and they never will be!”

However, on October 7, Trump shared another tweet, talking about giving people Stimulus Checks sent to him, which has come under fire after his latest decision to postpone the long-delayed bill. The president shared, “If I am sent a Stand Alone Bill for Stimulus Checks ($1,200), they will go out to our great people IMMEDIATELY. I am ready to sign right now. Are you listening Nancy? @MarkMeadows @senatemajldr @kevinomccarthy”

Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell had previously backed Trump's decision to postpone the bill saying they "need to concentrate on the achievable" as the deal with the democrats was looking difficult.

While the lawmakers hoped to witness another round of COVID-19 relief spending to be passed ahead of the general elections, Trump's tweet undid the optimism, irking the majority of the people who were looking forward to the government's help to cope with the increasing unemployment.

However, Trump's latest tweet about "immediately" sending Stimulus check to the people has everyone wondering if POTUS has "lost" his mind, with some questioning his true intentions with the overall bill. Responding to his latest tweet one shared, "You’re rambling, panicking, and losing your mind. You were already the dumbest president in history, but now Covid has broken your brain while the drugs turn it to mush. Give up, you sick, weak old man, because America is watching you unravel and it’s not pretty" while another noted "Hour by Hour, as @realDonaldTrump descends further into MADNESS Our Citizens are Dying, Our Children are going Hungry, Our People are Desperate and America is VULNERABLE to FOREIGN POWERS This is a VERY DANGEROUS time for the USA #VOTE.  Our LIVES & DEMOCRACY Depend on It." Another tweeted, "Absolute bulls**t. This is a drug-fueled lie. You tanked the stock market right before it closed and now you want us to believe this insanity. No one buys it. You’ve lost what little credibility you had. Not even your base believes you anymore. Start packing, old man." And one mockingly tweeted, "The drugs must be really kicking in now."
