RBG last wish: Trump says Pelosi, Schiff or Schumer probably wrote it, Internet calls him 'piece of s**t'

Donald Trump is apparently in no mood to believe Ruth Bader Ginsburg's last wish to be replaced as Supreme Court judge by the new president after the November 2020 election. The Republican leader has accused Democrats of writing RBG's dying wish.

On Monday, September 21, during an interview on 'Fox & Friends’, Trump said, “I don't know that she said that, or was that written out by Adam Schiff, Schumer and Pelosi. I would be more inclined to the second, it sounds so beautiful. But that sounds like a Schumer deal or maybe a Pelosi or shifty Schiff. So that came out of the wind. Let's see. I mean, maybe she did and maybe she didn't.”

Ginsburg was 87 when she died on Friday, September 18, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a cultural and feminist icon, who worked for 27 years as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States and became its most prominent member. Just before her death, the judge reportedly said to her granddaughter Clara Spera, "My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed."

Now, Democrats are working towards making her last wish true. But Republicans think it’s not the job of the next president to nominate the replacement of Ginsburg. Trump said since he won the last presidential election, he has the right to nominate Ginsburg's replacement. He has backed his decision, arguing that the appointment of a new judge is necessary since there could be legal proceedings following the election. The 74-year-old reportedly has trust issues with mail-in voting and believes it could hamper the result.

“Look, the bottom line is we won the election. We have an obligation to do what's right and act as quickly as possible. We should act quickly because we're going to have probably election things involved here, you know,” Trump said, adding: “Well, we don't want to to have a tie, no, we don't, and we want to have nine justices. We won the election, and elections have consequences.”

The president has stated that he would nominate the new judge who will replace Ginsburg later this week. “I think it'll be on Friday or Saturday. And we want to pay respect. We, it looks like, it looks like we will have probably services on Thursday or Friday, as I understand it,” he said. It has been said that the burial and funeral service for Ginsburg will be held at Arlington National Cemetery.

Trump’s latest comment soon caught people’s attention on the internet, who did not take much time to share their views. One user wrote, “Let's face it — Trump doesn't give a s**t about RBG or her dying wish, even if she had said it to his face.” Another said, “Trump doesn’t believe RBG’s dying wish but thinks there’s a good chance Scalia was killed in his sleep.” “Trump is the most disrespectful p.o.s ever! How dare he accuse #RBG’s granddaughter #ClaraSpera of lying about her grandmother’s dying wish! She wasn’t lying at all — RBG dictated that wish to her few days prior to death! Typical of @FoxNews too!” added another user of the social media platform.
