President Donald Trump, on Wednesday, September 25, involved Vice President Mike Pence into his burgeoning Ukraine scandal, hours after the White House released a transcript of a conversation between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The summary of the conversation revealed that the president had asked the Ukrainian leader for a "favor" involving an investigation into his political rival, former vice president Joe Biden.

Trump's call with Zelensky came under public scrutiny earlier this month after an intelligence community whistleblower lodged a formal complaint involving Ukraine and a phone call Trump had with a foreign leader where the president made a “promise".

Trump later admitted to talking about Biden with the Ukrainian leader and delaying military aid worth thousands of dollars before that call. However, he claimed that the two were unrelated.

Trump, on Wednesday, while defending his conversation with Zelensky, said that he was not the only one to speak to the Ukrainian leader and mentioned Pence's name too. The Trump controversy resulted in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi launching an official impeachment inquiry against him.

"I think you should ask for Vice President Pence’s conversation because he had a couple of conversations also," Trump said, adding that he and Pence would both be exonerated. He also called Pence's conversations with Ukraine "perfect".

Shortly after Trump mentioned Pence in connection with his Ukraine scandal, multiple people on social media have begun envisioning a scenario ending in the impeachment of both Trump and Pence.

This prompted critics and Twitter users to tweet the hashtag #PresidentPelosi, which began trending on Wednesday night, considering that the speaker of the House would be next in the line for the White House's top position.

A Twitter user wrote: "America: Where a woman can be president but only if two men get impeached first." Another said: "I can't think of anything more fitting than Trump's presidency being taken away and turned over to a woman after he stole it from one. #PresidentPelosi."

Another Twitter user chimed in: "He did say @SpeakerPelosi wouldn't be Speaker anymore, maybe because she will be President Pelosi."
